The children have thoroughly enjoyed the pool and when they weren't in that they were in the woods building dens, and doing all the things kids should be doing - not a computer in site! We thought the grounds were good because there is a lot of room to play and explore. Also the lodges are very spacious and have room for all the family and the pool has lots of space to jump in and swim around. We hope to get back yet again. It is peaceful, but our grandchildren had a hilarious time in the pool. The lodges are beautiful and the garden is a lovely safe place for the kids to play. Karen is very friendly and willing to help. The Limousin is a great place for a family holiday. We have been swimming in the lakes, climbing rocks, picnicing by rivers, and just generally enjoying wandering around. The wolf sanctuary exceeded our expectations. When we arrived it was snowy and cold but the reception we received was as warm as the cabins and we could not fail to be impressed with the standard of everything. It was like living in a little fairy tale place with cold weather, snow and crisp bright mornings, set amongst some of the most beautiful scenery we have ever seen. It was perfect for spending time exploring all the local walks and encountering all the wildlife which was abundant.   We spent nearly eight weeks with you but it passed in a heartbeat and we would love to come back again. The pool looked so inviting we wished it was summer and can only imagine how nice it would be to cool off there after a day in the summer sunshine. In summary, it was perfect! All we wanted and more.  Nik and Karen Poulton "I was SO impressed with everything about La Coterie Lodges. They are immaculately clean and in superb condition. There is a proper cooker with oven, and everything you need in the kitchen.   The guest information book is one of the best I have ever seen, with lots of suggestions of things to do, places to visit, and practical stuff about supermarkets and shopping.   I could not believe all the little extras - free bottle of wine on arrival, 3 ready stamped post cards, tea, coffee, sugar and a litre of milk, cling film, silver foil, fresh air/loo spray, cleaning fluids. They have Wifi for just a few euros extra a week.   The laundry room has washer and dryer and both are free to use. The swimming pool looks very inviting, but alas, we were there for 2 weeks in November/December and its a bit too cold. The grounds are extensive and this would be a paradise for children.   For Winter, the lodge is fully insulated, centrally heated and has UK Satellite TV. Towels and bed linen are included in the price. We paid an incredible £75 per week - yes, for a lodge that sleeps 6 people. In Winter you pay extra for the gas that you use - no problem, we prefer 'user pays'. We paid only 60 euros extra for a fortnights gas. No extra to pay in summer.   Limousin and La Creuse is a wonderful area, with a wealth of things to do for all ages. Beautiful countryside, interesting towns & villages, walking, cycling, restaurants and much more.     We highly recommend this place. Nothing is too much trouble for the on site owners." All the best " Barney, Penny & Shona "We stayed at La Coterie while we were house hunting in the Creuse.  The self catering option seemed to fit our needs best and this certainly was the case.  The lodge kitchen was surprisingly well equipped allowing us to relax after a hard day house hunting without having the strain of going out and finding somewhere to eat.  The location is brilliant - near enough to the N145 to make getting anywhere easy, and far enough from it not to hear any traffic noise.  Indeed the site is so quiet we had some of the best nights' sleep we have had for a long time.  Karen and Steve could not have been more helpful, and since our visit did not produce the house of our dreams, they have continued to e-mail us with interesting properties."
